A PANEL OF AMERICANS
Personal stories are one of the most effective ways to drive home the importance of diversity.
Moving and Entertaining Personal Stories
Through our Panel of Americans program, volunteers in the community share real-life stories about how they have been stereotyped because of race, ethnicity, homelessness, appearance, religion, disability, or sexual orientation. At times heartrending, at times moving, Panel of Americans presentations are always entertaining.
Typical Panel of Americans programs feature a half hour or hour long presentation appropriate for middle and high school classrooms or assemblies, professional or community groups, and churches and synagogues.
Some recent comments:
"[Your panelists] were among the most inspirational speakers we have ever had in Rotary. They were poignant and thought provoking and touched everyone's hearts."
- Sunrise Rotary Club
"The assembly [was] exactly what our students needed. [It] allowed them to deal with the true greatness of our country – its diversity – while facing our nation's greatest problem – intolerance."
- Teacher, North Marin High School
